T ing The Knot l2!Wedding l now pronounce you man and wife. Those words, uttered on October 3, l985, joined Sebas- tian Reyes and Linda Bustillos in the bonds of holy matrimony. Well, not really. The wedding. held in the Rosemead High School auditorium, initiated the beginning of married life for the students in Mr. Andrew DiConti's Personal Fi- nance Class. This class, as the name implies. teaches students how to plan financially in this new situation of providing for more than oneself. Such planning may include the purchase of a home, car, jacuzzi, and all other such necessi- ties. It places them in everyday type situations which are encountered in marriage. ln other words, these students learn what it takes for a marriage to be successful, both financially and emotionally. So when the time comes for them to truly walk the straight and narrow, they may be all the better prepared. The wedding and follow- ing reception that began it all required a great deal of planning and hard work. There were tux- edos to be ordered as well as the gowns, and the reception to be organized.
