Smiley. H peis Staff Xu. KIP WHITEFIELD Editor Busily working to choose stories for the Pen-Opsis, are these three hard- working members of the staff. MR. FRED WILHELM Advisor Now that the Pen-Opsis, Rosemead's literary magazine, has been published, Editor Kip Whitefield has realized his desire to have a better magazine than any in Rosemead's history. Traditionally, work began, by the staff, plan- ning and making layouts in January. Selling for 5Oc, this thirty-six, to forty page maga- zine is filled with short stories, essays, poetry, artwork, and photography submitted by students. lt is the job of the staff to iudge all entries, award honors as deserved, to meet the four maior deadlines set by the publishing company, and finally, in May, to distribute the Pen-Opsis,
