ii 1 - 1 .feioond Semestev In this past Spring semester the House of Representatives was kept constantly busy with the ideas and business brought forth by the stu- dent body through their representatives. Led by the Speaker of the House, Connie Ensign, the House established a Hall of Fame Board for recognition of outstanding achievement by graduates and faculty in memory of Mr. Riassetto. A great deal was accomplished on our foreign exchange student proiect, which is also a community proiect. To keep the students informed about the progress of our foreign ex- change student, the House had extra events. They also were visited by a panel representing another local high school, which has been spon- soring two foreign exchange students during the past year. The House sponsored a Safety Week which was held in May, and they co-spon- sored the annual Anti-Smoking Campaign with the second semester Commission. - 92 J fs . ,f, i I wwf.. 1. ,, f CONNIE ENSIGN Speaker of the House Second semester House was, Row l: S. His other officers were Helga Mueggenburg, secretary, Bob Smiley, parliamentarian, and, Janice McClellan, clerk. GERALD SKUPIEN During the first part of this semester the House sponsored the an- nual clean campus campaign. This campaign continued as a tri- school affair. The competition was between El Monte High School, Arroyo High School, and Rosemead, and continued throughout the entire school year. 'At regular intervals delegates from each school toured the other schools and graded them. This House also began a project to have music played during the lunch hours. With the co-operation of a local music store this event was most successful. Each club on campus had its members take turns as disc iockey for one week periods.
