ross Qou fh- Don Allen Frank Acosta B I Jim Roybal Steve Jordan Cross-Country is a distance run of l,8 miles. The course is made up of 2 trips around the park, back on the school grounds to the practice football field, and down the track to the finish line. The season consists of 3 practice meets and 5 league rneets. This year Rosemead's Varsity squad took 5th place after losing the top five runners last year. They now are in a building program to bring up the high standards that Mr. Tapp appreciates. Out of all the boys that try out for Cross-Country, anybody is eligible for Varsity if he can run fast enough to make the 7 fastest boys. During the year any boy on the J.V. squad who proves to be better than any boy on the Varsity squad can move up and take a place on the Varsity and try for a letter. RHS OPP. 45 .... ..
