Qi- Q ii...4ii ir 0 - ...P .. . cally Dennis Anderson Ken Hirose Rosemead's Varsity Horsehiders experienced a very profitable practice season this year, winning 10 out of 12 games. Dennis Anderson and Joe Cortez are the top batters for the Panthers this year, hitting .346 and .325 respectively. Other top hitters are Myron Carver with .318 and Ken Hirose with .303. Captain Joe Cortez hit triples in three consecutive games and led the Panthers in home runs. Cortez, a four year letterman, is expected to take honors on the All- Sierra League team this year. Other top men on the team are pitchers Myron Carver and Russ Brand, also catcher Ray Gibson. At the time of publication Coach Terry Bartron is looking forward to a good season in league play, with league-leading Glendora being the most im- portant team to beat.
