Homecoming Homecoming night, excitement everywhere! The nominees nervously getting ready to walk out onto the field. Each hoping that their names would be called out as the Winners. The Football Sweetheart nominees were senior: Georgia Esminston, junior: Donna Aiken and sophomore Mira Richburg. The Football Beau nominees were seniors: Larry Cornoyer, Neri De Loera, and Lee McFaul. The Band Sweetheart nominees were seniors Lisa Clark, Kim Etheredge, and Eileen Quimby. and Cont st Marching Contest was an ex- citing event for us this year as feelings of nervousness and ex- citement filled all who participated. It took Weeks of hard, serious practice to learn and perfect the marching drills we were to use at contest, then came our one chance to give our best perfor- mance and make a good rating. From beginning to end, I can say that after we had performed, most of us felt confident that we had done a good job. But our mo- ment of truth would come when the ratings were finally announc- ed . . . After what seemed to be forever, the speaker announced, Roscoe, Division I and the Whole band shrieked with happiness over the rating. Our goal for First Division had been achieved.
