W SCHOOL BOARD The 1983-84 School Board members include John C., Brasuel Jr., President, Gene Campbell, Freddy Freeman, Letha Boston, Randall Whorton, Mark Davidson, and Larry Williams. 44 i Nils lil me 1 is , To the Graduating Class of 1984: May I take this opportunity to congratulate you for having been one of the most outstand- ing classes of all times. You were involved in state championships, being outstanding in both academic goals and extra-curricular activities. May you continue to have the success you have experienced during your years in Roscoe High School. Best Wishes, Mr. Raughton Elementary Principal The thing that makes anything great is the people who are a part of that thing. If Roscoe High School has been - or is to be - a school of honor and pride, the students attending will have to be the source of that honor and pride. lt is hoped that in years to come you will look back on the pages con- tained in this annual and find that you were a contributor, no matter how minute, to that honor and pride we have at Roscoe High School. Steve Hopper To the Student Body: There's an old saying that we have all heard many times: You can't see the forest for all the trees. Sometimes, we become so involved in our own assignments and problems we easily overlook the total significance of what is happening. , Education for the masses had never been at- tempted in the world prior to the experiment in this country. What really is happening is that through education this nation has created equal opportunity. Those extra assignments, the early play rehearsal, the Saturday afternoon band clinic, and those pop quizzes really are worth the effort. Besides all that, these days in school are what you will describe to your children and grand- children as the good old days.
