SUPERINTENDENT Iohn R. McKay A book of a thousand memories is often the expression used to describe a high school or college annual. It is an old saying that we forget nothing. New science discoveries have proved that electrical'shock placed properly to stimulate certain areas of the brain will make the person suddenly to talk the language of infancy, or to recall some long forgotten incident. So we are stricken by memory sometimes, without the electrical stimulant, and old affections rush back on us as vivid as in the time when they were our daily talk. lt is also an old saying that when you start living in the past it is a sign of old age, but one can have memories without living in the past. Iwould like to thank the student body, the faculty, the school board, and the many friends of the school for making my memories of Roscoe pleasant. loffer my sincere congratulations to the Seniors of 1958-59. Continue to progress in whatever your chosen profession. Your many contributions to the school have helped to make it one of which we can all be proud. Wher- ever you are remember we think of you often. To the undergraduates, Iarn looking forward to many more happy and successful years with you. Rfmff

BOARD OF EDUCATION The aim of the Board of Education is to build and maintain a school that will best serve the interests of the community. Not only are they interested in a school which is operated on a sound financial basis, but they are interested also in a school which will impart knowledge, build skills, develop habits and attitudes, and practice a way of living that will make good citizens---present and future. These men give freely of their time and effort without recompense, and we wish to express our appreciation for giving us a school of which we can be justly proud.

GRADE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL JOHN BOSTON To all who are portrayed in this book and to all who read it, Iwish a life of service and happiness. May each of you always cherish a spirit of love, loyalty, and cooperation for your school. Always show a feeling of friendliness to your neighbors and friends. I hope that you realize that life is a struggle. May you always be willing to strive and sac- rifice for the higher things in life. Sincerely, ' 7n. HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL JOHN W, WEATI-IERHOGG Wait a minute . . . Time waits for no man. Time is the essence of all contracts. All of these familiar sayings remind us that TIME plays an important role in the lives of high school students. No single fleeting moment of that that is lost can ever be regainedg therefore, it is important that students learn early to make the best possible use of their time, now while they are in school. Our graduates of 1959 must realize that time is fast running out on their high school days. May the future await them with hap- py and interesting lives, based on a realiza- tion that it is impossible to kill time without injuring eternity. Qwww.,
