24 Rosalie A 6-3 Rolls To Season The Rosalie Football Team, coached by Bill Orlano, finished the 1978 campaign with a 6-3 record. Although injuries hurt the team early in the season, the Bull- dogs finished 4th in the Logan Valley Conference. The Bulldogs' defense and it's awesome offense out-scored opponents 358 to 186. They had 2,999 yards in total offense, with 2,062 rushing and 937 passing. Doug Nissen was selected All Confer- ence at Linebacker and also led the team with 1258 yards rushing on 134 at- tempts. Carey Hennig was second with 572 yards on 79 attempts. Floyd Beck- mann led the receiving corps with 430 yards on 17 receptions. Steve Warnock was second with 257 yards on 22 recep- tions. Out of the 16 touchdown passes, Marlon Hennig led the team with 10. The Bull- dogs set three records this season: Doug Nissen had seven touchdowns in the game against Nebraska Deaf, the team grabbed 29 interceptions during the sea- son with Steve Warnock leading with 18.
