“SENIOR PROPHECY Last nlght I la1d 1n my warm bed, and had the S1l11GSt dream, and I'd llke to transpose lt now to you It was the year nlneteen hundred and seventy nlne, the Sprlng of the year, and everythlng looked wonder ful I was r1d1ng on a small south bound traln to Texas by was of Can ada, whlch seem's somewhat out of the questlon but when I tell you, who the englneer was you'11 know why, yes lt was none other than Eldon Houser, Eldon always d1d 11ke to take the long way around to do thlngs Well, I made lt to the lone cattle state of Texas where, I was plannlng on V1S1t1Dg the TW1HS, whom I hadn't seen slnce our SSnlOT year at Old ROSa11a Hlgh, the tW1HS 11ved 1n a small town East of Houston called Smallpox , as I got off the traln I expected to flnd the Tw1ns and thelr fam1118S wa1t1ng to greet me but whom should be there but our senlor class soonso of 1960, yes Mr Smlth, I really must have looked surprlsed because LT Sm th sa1d, HYes 1t's me, I couldn't make it teach1ng school, so I'm coc 1ng for the Dorsett's and the Turner's,U I asked h1m what had becom of hlS Wlfe, Betty, he sald, UOh she's here too, you wou1dn't bPl1GV9 lt but she makes a wonderful farm hand, why she takes care of the farm where I cook gust l1ke a man U Well I saw the tw1ns and ventured onu d I went back to Wash1naton, where I recelved an 1HVltat1On to go to outer space w1th B111 Thompson, who was dOlng qu1te well for himself, he was a navy adm11a1 B111 and I boarded the Shlp, and headed for the moon, there, I saw the funn1est lOOk1ng thlng walklng around on 1t'S hands and knee's, B111 Sald, HDon't m1nd her, 1t'S only Frances Walker, she's afra1d she'l1 fall off 1f she stands up I was qulte amazed at much sense It seemed to r sh was talklng some klnd of space langu age we returned to Earth and I thanked B111 and went on my way I dec1ded to so back to old Alama Mater to see who I wouli flnd The town looked Just same only a few changes here and there, I walked down a Slde street and whom should I flnd as the grave dlgver but B1l1y Jackson, I was real surpr1sed at th1s fact because B111 had always been so smart, he sald, th1s was he only job, he could find t g1Ve h1m phySlC3l XC6TlSC, so th1s lS what he had been dO1ng for f1V6 years m11e ve were stand1ng talklng someone came runnlng up behlnd us, and who should lt be but Clyde Van Mby Clyde sa1d he had a b1g farm over by the SIWOHS Ranch, he was dolng qulte well In fact he had more monej than he knew what to do w1th, so he was gO1HU to bulld a new Rosalla I left Clyde and B111 d1SCuSS1Hg where they were gOlDg to bu11d a new ROSal13 I had now seen all the students of my class but one And as I was dT1V1ng down Ma1n ln town, I pulled lnto a Phllllps '66 statlon to fret my car checked, and you'1l never rfuess 3110 walted on me Yes, none other than Mary Ann Kuhn, who was now marrled and had slx kldS I told Mary about all the kldS I'd seen, nd then I left I awoke from my d. am laughlng, but I stopped and thought, Uwell, lt Just mlght come true H O - Q 0 ' . n n ' ' ' ' Q r .
