The league leaders came out in a full court press the second half, and beat the Cards at their own game. The final score was 45-58 in favor of Burns. January 25 was a big night in Rosalia. Whitewater dropped their first league game of the year to a group of fighting Cardinals. The Elks fell behind early, and trailed 25-10 at halftime. The Cardinals refused to let up in the final periods and sunk the Whitewater team 49-55.
