An important factor in becoming a com- petent homemaker is the training she gets during these maturing years. What do we mean when we say train- ing? Or, take cooking. Any girl can open a can of tuna fish, or cook up some hot dogs and call it supper, but what rewards the mother, trained in cooking, will receive when she hears her child say to the little boy next door, My mommy's the best cook in the worldl To be a mother and wife is one thing that most girls look forward to, but a sensible girl ought not to accept these wonderful gifts without training. She should be up to par on child care and be able to run her household on a smooth financial basis.
