Students who completed the one semester course- were given priority for jobs at Boeing. A hot metals area was also opened in the metal shop. The Home Economics department offered a variety of electives. ln th foods classes students experimente with new and unusual dishesg in tha clothing classes they learned proper techniques for making a garment, Some students elected to take either Home Living or Home Management in a package with l-lealth. Many students used an extra period to take a class in the Business Educa' tion department. A new, one-year shorthand course, hased on the alpha- het, was offered to seniors.
