Head Biology Teacher Chemistry Teacher Spades Adv. Physics Teacher Nat. His. Club Adv. Swim Team Adv. Instr. Council Ch. Allen Philips, Karen Jackson, and Dennis Stevens observe a gopher snake. This year the Roosevelt Science department involved all Biology stu- dents and four teachers in the Biology team-teaching program. Students were assigned to one teacher but fol- lowed a uniform program of labs and lectures. This provided an opportunity for the students to benefit from teach- ers with particular interests and spe- cialties. Students were also enrolled in Chemistry l and ll, and Physics l and ll. Chemistry lll and Physics III were offered to advanced students. Because of the new building con- struction, the biology portable was moved to the front lawn. The northeast wing was cleared for construction, moving several classes, including biology and chemistry labs, to other parts of the building. 2 I
