Keeping this theme in mind, the officers ot the Girls' Club tried to blend all activities to meet the interests of Roosevelt girls. Sophomores were oriented and introduced to Juniors and Seniors through the Big and Little Sister program. This was organized in the summer and was climaxed with a party late in September. Committee chairmen and two representatives from each committee attended the Little Conference to solve problems and inspire qualities of leadership in the girls. Scrapbooks were sent to our exchange school in France, and pillows were made for the Red Cross by different committees. The Publicity Committee established a new policy of working with the corresponding Boys' Club committee in activities such as the GC-BC P-TA Dance. Parents observed the organization of the Girls' Club through their attendance at the Father-Daughter Banquet, the Mother- Daughter Banquet, and the Holly Berry Tea. Climaxing the year were elections and the inaugural. ln all these activities, special proiects were assigned to each committee to create unity in the Girls' Club. 1 5?
