CMissingj: John Veblen, vice-president. Groups Offer Help With an eye Toward the future, the Future Teachers of America listen to ex- perienced teachers who speak at their meetings. This group has given service by being teacher-assistants this year. Another service group is the Spades who are interested in the well-being of spastic children. Some of their proiects consist of making Scrapbooks for the children and conducting money-making functions. All profits go to the hospitals and institutions caring for these children. Publicity Committee helps here at school by informing students of coming activities such as the Middy Drive, Senior Play, Revue, Torch Banquet, and others. Orientation Committee is the Roosevelt welcoming committee that represents the student body. Its main obiective is to make the new student feel at home and, in doing so, help him to do his best work. Our library, containing over T200 volumes, is serviced by student librarians who work in the library one period a day. . K -1 I F- The Audio-Visual Squad and the Bookroom Staff take charge of the many educational aid machines and books available here at Roosevelt.
