This is more than an activity, it is an important iob that must be done with great care and efficiency. Efficiency is also evident in Roosevelt's Debate Team which participated in many inter-high school debates. The general topics for discussion on this year's debates dealt with contemporary events. I f Approximately forty girls vvho aid the school Members of the Compass Committee write explanatory and informative articles on aspects of Roosevelt life. These articles are condensed into a small handbook, the Compass, which is used as a guide by students new to Roosevelt. One aspect of Roosevelt life is the P-TA Dances. P-TA Dance Committee plans the theme, the decorations, the entertainment, and the publicity for these bi-monthly dances held in the Eckstein gym.
