f M Agnes Gouda Agnes's counterpart at Roosevelt this year is Marcello Mazza, senior, from Milan, Italy. Marcello attends a one building school in Milan. The school has 40 students per room. Contrasting to Agnes's surprise when viewing the United States for the first time, Marcello was familiar with this country, since there are many American magazines and movies in Italy. By visiting America, Marcello hopes to further his interest in politics. Both Agnes and Marcello are the first students to be brought to Roosevelt through the American Field Service exchange stu- dent program. One of Roosevelt's first two foreign exchange students, Agnes Gouda senior, came to Roosevelt from Jannina, Greece, where she attends an all girl school. Com- posed of l5 rooms with lOO students per room, this school was a afar cry from what she found upon entering Roosevelt. Clothes in Greece differ from those worn in the United States. ln Greece Agnes was accustomed to wearing uniforms to school and dresses at home. Agnes's first look at television brought delight and an all night session with it. Agnes's ambition is to become an Eng- lish instructor in Greece. Marcello Mazza
