An organ prelude and postlude, inspir- ational music by the Girls' Glee, Senior Choir and orchestra also added to the cere- monies, Christmas set the stage for Why The Chimes Rang, a Christmas play which proved by a small boy's gift that the thought gomes before expense. june Chandler nar- rated the play while music was provided by the Senior Choir, the Girls' Glee, and the orchestra. Also featuring religious music and narra- tion was the Easter Service, The program was opened and closed with organ music. f- . oorieue f if Cakteflll aff 8011 jk? .Scene The Live Y'ers dance provided an entertaining evening. 2 . .9 CLIQCQJ Dances brightened the season at Roose- velt during the first semester of school. A harvest theme prevailed as the Live- Y'ers held the first dance of the year. To carry out the theme, a large scarecrow and yellow cornstalks gave the impression of a cornfield. The RHS dance band with vocal- ist, Barbara Fowler, provided the music. The Green and Gold victory dance was another of the dances. This dance was held after the Little-Big game. Excalibur and Green and Gold sponsored two noon dances. The homecoming queen was presented at the latter. Crystal Christmas was the theme of the first formal. Silver and blue held the lime- light as a blue moon revolved overhead. A white Christmas tree with blue balls, blue streamers on the poles, and white snow- flakes hanging from the ceiling completed the decorations.
