mecbcafion ln acknowledgment of her deep intellectual capacity, her understanding of true teaching and her loyalty to high ideals shown and demonstrated through her long academic experience, of her efforts toward expansion of the scope of learning, and of her sincere interest in the students, the class of l95l lovingly dedicates this annual to Miss Margaret Paxton, head of the Roosevelt mathematics department and sponsor ofthe Scholarship Society. She is now retiring, of this the student body is regretfully aware. None who have known and loved herwill ever forget her.

Here are recorded a few of the many events of the year to serve as a framework into which each reader may weave his own rich tapestry of memories.
