On to San Francisco is the marching cry ol the Lion Band since it received the honor of representing Compton Secondary Schools in the Centennial Celebration to be held in that city late in the summer. The band has won Division l honors for tour consecutive years in the All Western Band Review held in Long Beach each tall, ancl Division l rating for 'rhreeconsecutive years in the California Secondary School Band and Orchesira Festival held in Pomona each spring. The Las Vegas vs Compton Junior College football fans saw the Lion Band again in top position as Host Band 'lor the occasion. Parades galore expresses the marching activities of the band throughout the entire year. lt played at all home football and basketball games and in connection with the Orchestra and other instrumental organizations, it presented a Spring Concert to the student body in assemblies and to parents and friends at an evening performance.
