is . 3 W RICHARD SUGITA JEAN KOBASHIGAWA HARRIS KITAMURA Iliff?-P7't?5fd871t Secretary Treasurer The Executive Council Each tap of the Presidents gavel meant that a new executive meeting of the Roosevelt Stu- dent Body Government was under way. These meetings, along with those of the Representative Assembly, served as the thrashing ground for the problems of the students. This group, carefully selected by the students last spring, listened with patience to our countless gripes of the crowded stairways, the bus shortage, and the cutting in on lunch lines. Discussions led to plans, plans to action. Decisions favorable to students resulted. They served the student body untiringly from September to june. During the football season, they sold colorful red and gold beanies to bright- en up our cheering section. They organized the production of identihcation cards. They raised money for the scholarship fund by giving two student body dances-the Mistletoe Ball and the April Showers. The highlight of their term was the trip to Maui in November to attend the Territorial High School Government Association Confer- ence. Typical of Roosevelt students, our officers returned, bubbling over with enthusiasm and ideas to Finish the remainder of the year. Merton Chun served as treasurer during the second semester to replace Harris Kitamura, who resigned because of illness. .,...-....- Q-ax. L5 A PRISCILLA MQRALES KATE YANAGA KARLEN PETERSON MRS.
