You may see your- self gazing out the window at a beautiful spring day while a teacher explains in a monotonous voice the difference between inflation and deflation or why x equals y. You may find yourself sitting entranced as he explains why Hamlet was mad. You had favor- ite teachers and favorite subjects. You were given assignments you didn't mind doing and those which you dreaded. Although you may not have realized it, your teachers and your textbooks were preparing you for the adult world you would face when you left the classroom. Another vital part of school is what happens be- hind the scenes.

Caution: Work A head ' ' 'W 4 - . F , I XM-,J .W 13 ll if 'I Although most students do not realize it, the maintenance of a school is big business. The cafeteria workers always continue to serve our meals with gleaming smiles, regardless of the comments on the food. The custodians never complain about having to sweep the floor several extra times because we incessantly track in mud on those rainy days: and, last but not least, the bus drivers loyally make their tedious routes, although the heaters seldom work and at times, they don't reach school until lunch. The students and people of the community should com- mend these people for their untiring services. 4' I-'T +6 - 1: I th ,t , . nl 5 Jil h-wi' W N
