January SEQUF Class H157 January 1957 brought an end to three years of high school for 58 seniors. As one looks back on this class great athletes. In the last semester the girls put on the pep assembly for the East football game. Several parties were held for the class in the tinal semester. First came a Uhobol' party held in December: and then came a kiddy party held in January. Al- though these were unusual parties, they were a success and everyone enjoyed them. At Baccalaureate, the class sermon was delivered by the Rt. Rev. Gordon V. Smith, father of class mem- ber Gordon Smith. A tea was given after the service in the foyer for the seniors and their parents and friends. The traditional banquet for the graduates was held in Younkers' Tea Room. After the banquet, the class members were given tickets to attend the movie of their choice. Class Day came on Wednesday, and the entire senior high viewed the program. Thursday brought Commencement which was the last gathering of the class as a whole. Jack Shelley from WHO radio and television studio was the speaker. After com- mencement exercises, the seniors attended a dance at Waveland given for them by their parents to help the class Celebrate its being graduated. Although the graduates were looking toward the future and Wondering what was ahead for them, the January graduates will never forget their three event- ful years at Roosevelt.
