Senior Play Last QXESFQI V A R I Z' FRONT ROW: LEFT TO RIGHT: Albert Karoub, Bunny Chapman, Gloria Sinda, john KORG BACK ROW: LEFT TO RIGHT: Mrs. Kaufman, llerry Maher, Eugene Lewis, james Henry, Leon St. Joh Nancy Micheal. NOT PICTURED: Jeanette Gronda, Deloris Petroski. Don Schultz. On May 20 and 21 the senior Class of 1954 if if presented the annual senior play. This years if 'L play was a three act comedy, written by Donald Payton, called just Ducky. The play was given at two evening performances and one matinee. The cast of characters consists of the following: n John Korte as Mr. Maxwell, Nancy Michel as Mrs. Maxwell, Delores Petroski as Betty Lou Maxwell, Jeanette Gronda as Bernadine, james Henry as Wilbur Maxwell, Albert Karoub as Hercules, Donald Schultz as Craig Moore, Leon St. john as Mr. Moore, Eugene Lewis as Del Marshall, Gloria Sinda as Aunt Mary, Marilyn Chapman as Miss Blayne, and Gerry Maher as Connie Maxwell. Girls will be girls as proven by Betty Lou and Bernadine. Mr. Maxwell has been chosen the new head of the citizen committee. When Mr. Marshall and Mr. Moore came to interview Mr. Maxwell, Betty Lou, Bernadine, Wilbur and Hercules put on a show to prove the Maxwell family is insane. Miss Blayne, the writer of the lovelorn column, game to see Mrs. Maxwell because Miss Blayne had received a fake love letter from the girls. This plan was the cause for the show. It turned out to be quite a plot before everything is finally cleared up. The play was directed by Mrs. Mary jane Kauf- man.

The students having participated were the ones that played varsity football. To bolster their funds, dues were paid and fines were levied. Mr. Jack football and basketball coach, then gave the Varsity Club the idea of selling Varsity club shirts, which was very popular with the students. Late in the year the club sponsored a dance. lt was very successful.
