The band took many trips in the past year, these were, two trips to the Masonic Temple to hear the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, a trip to Ann Arbor to hear the University of Michigan Concert Band, and in February a selected group of members were sent to Ypsilanti representing Roosevelt in the annual Sols and El'lSemlJ1e Festival. At the first ofthe year the band received a complete new line of instruments, allowing for the formation of a seventh grade band consisting of twenty-eight members.
