Rose Ann Lombard and Carol Dunmyer are leading the girls this year as co-captains. The girls cheered at all the football and basketball games. They also cheered at some of the tournament games. In the first of November the girls of the squad went to the University of Michigan for a cheerleading exhibition. The varsity cheerleaders have new sweaters this year. They are white with the red trim. Their skirts are still black. The girls have made over and written quite a few new cheers. The cheers are very clever but the way the cheers are done is what really puts them over and makes them such a hit with the students. The purpose of the cheerleader is to im- prove school spirit and get more students to come to the games. The squad has done a wonder- X ful job and are imcomparable with any other cheer- 6 leaders. co C-: .- ERWIN JEWE LERS 27427 Michigan Ave. LO-2-0030
