The Home Ec Club was re-organized in Oct. of 1952, by Mrs. E. llauk. At the first meeting the girls elected officers, decided upon dues, and chose a committee to Write a constitution. During the first semester the girls had a hayride, and a Christmas party. Among the activities during the sec- ond semester was the Valentines Dance, a ceramic demonstration, a trip to Wayne County Health Department, and a fashion show, showing the change in clothing from grandma's day to modern times. To end the successful year, all the members went out for dinner and to a show. The junior Home Ec Club was first organized this year, by Mrs. Hauk. The club consist of only ninth graders. Albert Karoub As the 1952-53 school season began, the member of the Student Council, who were elected by their class mates, got right down to work. At their first meeting, the member elected officers to head the Council. The Council began its activities this year by giving the first dance in our new gym. The dance, which was named, 'Student Council Hop, was given in order to raise funds for the school paper, The Bulldogs Bark, and the Debate Club. The dance came of in great style and was a big success. The Student Council also drew up a set of recommendations for student behavior These rules conserned the hall problem, and the school lawn, Since our school building has been increased, the Student Council set up ai new schedule for hall monitors. More students have been placed on duty and this has helped greatly in the decrease of disorder in the halls. Throughout the year they have helped Schedule dances, given by the various clubs and classes. The members of the Council, ended their term in office by holding a magazine drive to raise money for the stage curtains in the gym.
