District Administration During the past year, the admin- istration of the Polos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District worked hard to ensure that students at RHHS and all other district schools would continue to receive an excel- lent education. In November, 1985, three members of the school board, Ann Hinchcliffe, Pat Johansen, and Rose Lockmon, left their positions. Newly elected were Sally Burroge, Morlys Kinnel, and Dr. Jeffrey Young- gren. As in previous years, a high school student was selected to serve as a non-voting member of the board. Farshid Sadeghi from Mir- oleste High School held this position for the 1985-86 school year. The dis- trict also began inquiry into the feasi- bility of a parcel tax to raise addi- tional funds for the financially ailing schools. These devoted and dedi- cated individuals from the communi- ty served well to increase the quality of school life. Dr. Jack Price Superintendent of Sctiools Marlys Kinnel, Martin Dodell. Principal Howard Lawrence School Administration The Rolling Hills administration worked at improving the learning atmo- sphere within the school, Howard Lawrence, principal, and his highly com- petent staff, continually tried to resolve the many and diverse problems confront- ing students every day. Administrators dealt with the problems with care and ex- pertise. Their effectiveness in dealing with the many difficulties was a combination of skills acquired after years of dedicated years of hard work. This staff, always ready to attend to the needs of the stu- dents, was complimented this year by two enthusiastic newcomers. Assistant Principal of Management Chris Bowles and Dean of Students Art Warner. Rolling Hills High was fortunate to have such a quality administration. Howard Lawrence, Chris Bowles and Art Warner enjoy another Titan football gome. During the year, they attended almost every athletic event. Bill Howard and Howard Lawrence watch as the ju- nior varsity quarterback scores another touchdown.
