y Dale Jiili %Judy The 3-act comedy, A Date With Judy , was presented by the Junior class under the direction of Miss Laura Grubbs, February 12. The Foster home set the scene for the escapades of the lively teen-age girl, Judy Foster played by Gwynne Nichols. In her ambition to earn money for the Community Chest and become queen of the dance, Judy seemed to get everyone into trouble by entering contests, writing a true-confession story, and trying to influence a Broadway producer. Those involved in her schemes were: Randolph, Judy's younger brother-Jack Burk; Mrs. Foster, Judy's mother-Velma Bryant; Mr. Foster, Judy's father-Paul Twiest; Oogie Pringle, the man in Judy's life-Jim Davis; Hanna, the maid-Donna Taylor; Mitzi, one of Judy's friends-June Hennicke; Barbara, another of her friends - Marilyn Geier; Mr. Martindale, the Broadway producer-Jim Addington; Mrs. Shlutz-hammer, P.T.A. woman-Retty Clark; Rex O'Connor, new boy in town-Jim McBee; Susie, Rex's little sister-Rita Jennings; Mrs. Hotchkiss, a laundry woman-Shirley Howell; Sloise Hotchkiss, little girl who elocutes-Jeannine Sauer.

At the start of the year, the Juniors chose Jim Davis for their class president; Jack Burk, vice-president; Gwynne Nichols, secretary;ana Marilyn Geier, treasurer. Mrs. Margaret Stockman was sponsor. On May 20th, at Chalkers the Juniors were host to the Seniors at the formal Junior-Senior banquet. Stairway To The Stars was the theme that carried Juniors and guests through the memorable evening.

Not Shown: Don Damon, Friedel Hennicke, Merlin Simmons. The Sophomore Class helped keep the social life going with a number of dances during the year. Their outstanding party was held at Christmas when they decorated the gym with a big tree and hired an orchestra to play for the dancers. An active season ended with their trip to Ashland on a joint swimming party with the freshmen. Class officers were: Gene Depuy, president: John Baker, vice-president; Dunvood Carter, secretary-treasurer.
