TEACHER OF THE YEAR In May 1966, Mr. Rudolj^ Tex Williams, a science teacher and the head basketball coach for the Jimicr Varsit > - team, received the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a teacher by tiie students at Rogers Junic Senior High. Mr. William ' s educational experiences have been successful, both scholastically and athletically. He is a graduate of Lanier Hi^ in Jackson where he was a top-flight baskethall player. His athletic ability- exemplified in high school won him a four-year-aU-expense paid scholarship in basketball, at Tennessee Agricultural Industrial State University ' where he earned his B. S. degree in science education. After receiving tie degree, he was sent to the Cincinnati Royals of the Professional Basketball Association for trial as a professional player. However, he canceled his offer in favor of the teaching profession. Because of his dedication to his profession, co-operative attitude, and his good relationship vnth the students of Rogers, he was chosen TEACHER OF THE YE.AR.
