The purpose ot' Ili-Y is to ereate, lnaintain, and extend high standards of Christian char- aeter throughout the home, school, and eoln- inunity. Membership in Senior Ili-Y Club is open to all junior and senior boys. This year thirty members niet once every three weeks under the supervision of Mr. llerbert Aguor and Mr. Arthur Bennett. President Chuck Aspinwall. Vice-president. Mike Dittoe, Secre- tary l'arl Elleuberger, and Treasurex' Jack Swisher worked together in planning the pro- grains. Bud Spooner. Ili-Y boys selling refreshments were a fa- miliar sight at llUll1t' basketball games. Money earned in this fashion was used to finance 1-lub projeets, which included helping a needy faniily at Christmas time and sponsoring the annual lli-Y dance. Sophomore lli-Y is similar in purpose to the senior group. This year's elnb was exception- ally active, and its luenibership was twice the size of the senior roster. Sophomore members diseussed world problems, saw movies, and used the gfylll facilities for recreation. Members sold progralns at football games. Part of the elub dues paid for Ill9Illb0I'Slllp in the YMCA, entitling members of the club to use the HY fam-ilities. Working: with Mr. Roy llulliugton as adviser, President Jim Cody, Viee-president Ken Forbes, Seeretary Fred Roth, and Treasurer llud Spooner planned programs.
