' nz' Mr. Thobu rn Davis Mr. Davis will probably recall the school year of l95O-1951 as one of the busiest of his life, for it saw the culmination of months of planning and supervising the construction of a two-million dollar plant housing the Rocky River High School. The responsibility of correlating the innumerable details of such a colossal project fell largely upon our superintendent. As the coordinator between architect, builders, board, decorators, and personnel he resolved an immensely difficult task with efficiency and dispatch that won the respect of the entire community. I3

gddflddfg ' The Board of Education give unstintingly of their time and service to help maintain the high standard of education for which our community is noted. We are especially grateful to the members for the time, the effort, and the thought that they put into the gigantic task of readying our beauti- ful new building. They have graciously attended to a thousand and one details in spite of heavy demands on their time from personal and business duties. Officers for the year l95O-l95l are Mrs. Allison Le Pontois, president, and Mr. Edward W. Ferry, vice-president. Other members are Mr. Carl W. Sollenberger, Mr. Frank Siedel, and Mr. Hylas E. Smiley. I I I I I Mr. Marsdon U. Grubb One of the most exacting positions in the school system is that of principal of the high school. Mr. Grubb has had to cope with multiple duties and problems that arose in this first year of occupancy of our new building. He has done an admirable job of integrating all depart- ments and of smoothing out rough spots in organization and classroom procedures. lt was largely due to Mr. Grubb's untiring efforts and genial good nature that the transition from a six-year system to a three-year was accomplished with a minimum of confusion. i4
