1 er House Amid sinister noises eerie lights women s screams and clutching claws that snatched unsus pectmg characters off the stage right before the eyes of the audience the class of 1946 produced 1 Junior class play as yet unsurpassed in box office receipts One of the largest crowds ey er assembled in the Rocky Ford High School auditorium turned u for Tiger House Time work and careful planning went to make it one of the most ambitious productions Rocky Ford High School has exer attempted Lighting effects were worked out to near perfection and the play itself needed careful rehearsing as the action was rapid and exciting The action is laid around 1 grim and isolated country estate called Mystery Manor Erma Lowrie a young shop girl suddenly finds herself heiress to thc estate Hcr deceased aunt thc former owner had bccn a fake spirit medium and her house was a man of mysterious sccrct passages and doors. She had incurred the enmity' of a Tiger Cult in Africa by stealing a valuable necklace fro'n their god-a live tiger-while it was lying in a drugged condition. eighty-six The supe stititions of the ullagers concerning the haunting seemed to take on a basis of fact when Erma and her sweetheart Maclntosh a de tectne discoyer that her own co.1sin Arthur 13 responsible for the mystery He has been trying to frighten them away in order that he might search for the necklace A delightful thread of romance and comedy runs through the spmc chilling action which domi nates the play and the suspense the weird and baffling happenings kept a thrilled audience fc cr of excitement Erma Iowrie Aunt Sophia Mrs Murdocls.
