Later she oegan teaching junior high gen- eral science and home econom- ics. Her energy and enthusiasm have made Mrs. Schneider a joy to know. Miss Emily Ann Hoyt, a graduate of Rocky Ford High School, took ove: the teaching duties of Mrs. Schneider during the last three months of the school year. Home Eronomiavs The wonderful odors wafted from third floor come from Mrs. Donna Imhoff's home economics class. ln this class the girls learn methods of home cooking, home canning, and various and delicious ways of preparing food economical- ly. Mrs. lmhoff also teaches the home and family division of the life problems course. An easy manner and a friendly smile are typical of Mrs. Im- hoff, who has a gift of always remaining calm and unruffled. Eighth Grade English Attractive and striking are adjectives well applied to Miss Fern Bacon. Under her direc- tion these eighth grade stu- dents will learn to speak and write English properly. She al- so teaches first and second year Latin and Colorado his- tory. Her sunny disposition and ability to influence her stub dents toward better things will be a challenging influence to them in later life. Seven th Grade Jluth Miss Ethel Hutchison is shown here with her seventh grade mathematics class. ln this class the pupils learn simple percentages and the computation of interest on loans and mortgages. In addi- tion to her teaching duties, she has charge of the sale of bonds and stamps to the students of Rocky Ford High School. In future years her students will thank her for teaching them the value of regular savings habits.
