Rockwall faced the undefeated 'est Orange Stark Mustangs at the Kyle .eld in College Station. A 60 yard pass :tween Andy Hollon and Tim Walker ,ve the Jackets their only score. It was a sappointing loss, but the Jackets ,owed just how much heart they had. aey would always be viewed as winners the eyes af the fans forever! Rockwall vs. Paris 144-145 The Paris Wildcats were the Jackets 'st district foe. Paris was ranked No. 5 the state and the Jackets were de- rmined to prove themselves. It was one of the most memorable victories of the season. Rockwall vs. West Mesquite 141-63 The next game was at W. Mesquite against the Wranglers. The Jackets rout- ed the Wranglers 41 to 6 for a district record of 2-0. Rockwall vs. McKinney 113-283 The third game of district found the Jackets playing their arch rivals, the McKinney Lions. The Jackets showed great effort, however though it was a disappointing loss for everyone. Rockwall vs. North Lamar 150-61 The Jackets increased their season re- cord to 6-3 with an impressive 50-6 win over the Panthers. Rockwall vs. Terrell 116-135 Q2 Rockwall went to Terrell with a playoff spot on the line. With the game tied at 13-13 with 30 seconds on the clock, Kaufman hammered through a 37 yard field goal to cap an amazing comeback. Rockwall vs. Denison 114-131 The Jackets faced Denison in the Dis- trict playoff game. They kept everyone on the edge of their seats once again with an amazing comeback. It was a 14-13 victory. Rockwall vs. Seagoville 131-135 The second playoff victory was for the Bi-District championship. The Jackets beat the overconlident and undefeated Dragons for a sweet victory. Football

QQM4 Two-a-days began on August l lth with a bit of uncertainty in the air. No one had met Coach Troy Miller as well as several other new assistant coaches. As the team prepared for their first day of practice, the Jackets had no idea what was in store for them. This was to be the year that the players, coaches, and the town would never forget. Rockwall vs. Granbury Q18-OJ The first game ofthe season we saw the Jackets host the Granbury Pirates. It was not very pretty, but it was a W in the column. Rockwall vs. Mt. Pleasant C6-75 The next game the Jackets lost to the Mt. Pleasant Tigers by a point. The Ti- gers scored after we did, but their extra 197 Football point proved to be the difference in the ball game. Rockwall vs. Sulphur Springs Q21-353 The third game of the season was a lesson for the Jackets. After falling be- hind by quite a large lead, the Jackets went out on a good note by scoring 21 points in the fourth quarter. Rockwall vs. North Dallas Q42-OJ The next game was against the dom- inating defense and fine-tuned offense of the North Dallas Bulldogs. Needless to say the Jackets rolled their helmets on to the field for this victory. Rockwall vs. Athens C28-145 The last game before the district was against the Athens Hornets for our Homecoming. Jackets came out on top A IVEWBE Rockwall vs. Ennis Q41-63 The Regional Championship was in store after the Jackets whipped an error- prone Lion team 41 to 6. Rockwall vs. Kilgore 134-211 The next playoff step was in the Quarterfinals against Cameron's Kilgore Bulldogs. The defense held E.D. Jackson, a top ranked running back, to under 100 yds. for another win. Rockwall vs. Sweetwater C13-63 All the way to State! The Jackets kept the Mustangs scoreless after they re- tumed the opening kickoff for a touch- down. With 2:08 remaining, the Mus- tangs threatened the Jackets, defense on third down on the 8 by trying to pass it in 28-14.
