Such progress was evident this year in the establishment of the Student Book Center, which serves as a convenient source of good reading in the form of paperbacks. Debate members learn to develop their own ideas through an exchange of words and arguments. The debate season is longer than that of any other competitive team at East, and in the course of a year, the debaters travel hundreds of miles.
