We spent the early part of the school year getting organized and working on a Christmas concert. Then work began on our contest numbers. It was hard work, but we feel that we profited from the effort. After con- test, we worked on some lighter numbers, such as Catch a Falling Star, and Hi-Lili, Hi-Lo , Now that we have completed this school year, somehow surviving the frequent rattling of pots and pans from the kitchen, we think it was well worth our time and effort to be a chorus member. YOU 't The Wheel of Fortune Candy Cane Lane We Wandering from Booth to Booth V B' 165 Q O if , 4, 'iw 4 On December 8, the Rocket Staff, with the assistance of the high school students, held Cape Carnival for a crowd of more than one thousand. A heavy snow that evening did not hinder the attendance. From a night club in the cafeteria to pie throwing in the gym, everyone found something to fulfill their whims. The carnival was held to lower the cost of this year's yearbook. The Rocket staff is grateful for the cheerful enthusiasm and cooperation of the students and faculty in their as- sistance with the carnival. As the fateful day draws near When we must leave the ones so dear, We will laugh and we will cry. With mixed emotions we'll say goodbye! Goodbye to what? I'll tell you what! Goodbye to the books that plagued us, goodbye to the teachers who pounded into our heads the roots of wisdom. Goodbye to the school that accepted us fresh from Junior High, when there seemed to be no hope. Just when we are learn ing how to get around our teachers, we are out in the world striving to make a living, or adjusting ourselves to a higher form of school. Though we're sad at leaving such a grand school, we know the underclassmen will work as we did, to bring ole' RPHS through with flying colors. So GOODBYE, ROCK PORT HIGH SCHOOL! We say goodbye, but we will always remember you. --by Glenn King, '62. o o C fs a t gy INTER-COLLEGIATE PRESS' Kansas City - Winnipeg Publishers - Manufacturers Yearbooks - Yearbook Covers Diplomas - Graduation Announcements USA f -'N
