We feel that her academic and social guidance, which has already benefited us during high school, will continue to benefit us in later life. No words could express our feelings toward her. We shall just say, Thanks, Mrs. Linville. ADMINISTRATION Who threw that? Nor is this a break-down of every student, his likes and dislikes. Such an effort would require volume upon volume. Rather, this is anattempt to record briefly, a few of the outstanding events which we, the members of the senior class of 1957 of Rock Port R 2 High School, Rock Port, Missouri, feel will be important to us in the years to come. Miss Anna Proudfit took a deep breath and sighed a huge sigh as thirty-one little imps romped into the classroom for their first year in dear old R,P.H.S. to start the long climb up the twelve steps of education. Those thirty-one little imps were: Richard Adamson, Ralph Brirn, Martin Bohn, Bobby Glenn, Buddy Harger, Harold Holden, Ronnie Moore, Eddie Murry, John McElhiney, Richard Parks, Keith Whitham, Jimmie Zupke, Larry Phipps, CarlTrimb1e, Nickie Peck, Kathryn Bay, Charlene Bell, Victoria Clayton, Jane Deatz, Kay Derrossett, Mary Gregory, Mary Jane Hinder1iter,J ane Ann LaHue, Janis Muntz, Sally Salfrank, Helen Slemp, Carolyn Tilson, Sharon Wagner, Patricia Whitaker, Peggy Wright, and Rayelene Gigous. The rest of our grade teachers were: Second Grade, Miss Inbodyg Third Grade, Miss Kemper, Fourth Grade, Mrs. Humphrey, Fifth Grade, Miss Stevensg Sixth Grade, Miss Phelps, Seventh Grade, Miss Carsong Eighth Grade, Mrs. Linville. Instead of trying to enumerate the various fiendish deeds that we have done during the DSSI twelve years, we have commanded the members ofthe class to tell us the most outstanding thing or things that they have done or has happened during the years spent here. The following is the result: Richard Adamson - The trips to the water plant with Mr. Pilch. Bob Arnold - The night Mr. Hinderliter caught Tom Bowers at the top of the pipe in the shower room. Tom Bowers - The night Mr. Hinderliter caught me at the top of the water pipe in the shower room. Kay Christians - .Eating fried chicken for breakfast my freshman year in Home Ec. Duane Clement - The J unior-Senior Banquet. Larry Cooper - When me and Dwayne I, and Ronnie Moore took Jane Ann, Joan, and Linda Stock to Tarkiog and no one had a driver's license. Jane Deatz - Freshman Home Ec, when Miss Hartell scotch taped Kay Bay's and my mouths shut! Carol Fay - The night Helen S, got her gum slapped out of her mouth in a B.B. game and at the same time, I was tripped and made the world's best swan dive. Mary K. Fuelling - The 5,000 word theme we had to write l1'1 Citizenship because some dirty bird threw a paper wad. By the way, who threw it? Bob Hackman - The trouble Gert. T. and Ihad trying to get the Blue Jay Journal published. Joan Hall - Learning to play 2 in the back of the bus coming home from a certain skating party. Dale June Hawk - Freshman initiation and fighting with Carter. Mary Jane Hinderliter - When I was in the first grade, Jane told me she did not like me because she didn't like my face, and when I was in the 4th grade, and John brought a snake to my party. Keith Hosfiel - In the 8th grade when I spilled paint on Mrs. Linville's coat. Shirley Huff - My black and blue knees from Freshman initiation. Dwayne Ingram - Boys' State, Jean Jackson - Freshman initiation -- flying my airplane from Main Street to school. Wesley Kennel - Our J unior-Senior Banquet. Howard Kirk - Just everything. Jim Krusor - The surprise of getting my diploma. Jane Ann LaHue - Mary Jane and I fussing over which one of us was Johnnie Mac's first girl friend in the second grade. John McElhiney - In the 4th grade when Bob Glenn and I used to chase Jane Ann and Mary Jane, tackle them and kiss them. Tom McKee - Teasing the girls on the bus. Janice Pebley - Making E's as a pastime in Mrs. Shaw's Am. Problems class. Robert Ranner - The teachers started looking up to me! Dick Rosenbohm - Getting struck by Lightning on the football field at the third practice. Sally Salfrank - Not missing a single day of P,E, Helen Slemp - All 2160 days of it, Janis Muntz and I being sent to Supt.' office over Johnnie Mac. Betty Tierneyer - Those refreshing showers we had after P.E. Dorilee Tiemeyer - The lecture we got in P,E. when Carter told us we were filthy dirty. Gertrude Tiemeyer - One day last summer when I crawled in the girls' shower room window because the school doors were locked. Peggy Wright - Pushing doll buggies with Gert and walking three steps to school with Mary Jane for six years. Nancy Zach - Playing the the cloak room and painting our 7th grade room, and Miss Knipmeyer's, Pm just the old gal that can do it! These are some of the things that we, graduating Seniors of 1957, as above named, will remember through the years. Only seven of those thirty-one little imps that began school life twelve years ago in RP.H.S. have stayed with us all twelve years. They are: Richard Adamson, Jane Deatz, Mary Jane Hinderliter, John McE1hiney, Sally Salfrank, Helen Slemp, and Peggy Wright. However, all thirty-three of us will long remember the years, whether many or few, that we spent in Rock Port High. LARRY COOPER If mischief was bliss, he would die of mirth, F,F.A, 1,2,3,4g Prin.
