Health Occupations is the cooperative work portion of the program for seniors who have successfully completed the ECHO Preparatory Course. These students a re qualified health assis¬ tants in a variety of jobs, including: dental, x-ray, pharmacy, nursing, and physical therapy assistants. ECHO is Extended Campus Health Occupations and is designed to prepare the student to care for a patient in any setting, from the hospital bed to the dental chair. The student practices direct, pa¬ tient care skills weekly under the trained eye of a professional in off-campus community health¬ care facilities.
