GAA Mem bers Express Selves Through Sports Girls’ Athletic Association is a club where girls of Rocky can express themselves through athlet¬ ics. Gymnastics, volleyball, and tennis among others served as an outlet of enjoyment and ex¬ pression for G.A.A. members. G.A.A.’s most important task was preparing and decorating for Homecoming. Other activities that were planned included a Mother-Daughter Banquet, a Pa and Me party, and a Co-Rec night.

Dolphinettes Present “A Trip to the Zoo” Working long, tedious hours was routine for Rocky’s Dolphinettes. Each member, chosen for her ability and grace, strove to make her part in the show faultless. Members came early and stayed late in order to perfect their routines for the annual Dolphinette show. This show, held in March, proved to be a flawless example of water ballet and synchronized swimming. Expression through beauty was the true, if unofficial, motto of Rock Island High School’s Dolphinettes.
