Pep Club and the Section Shout out Moral Support The first cry of male discrimination a Rocky was voiced and answered this year. The result was a barrage of males infil¬ trated the traditionally female ranks of Pep Club. This union of Pep Club and “The Section " made for an enthusiastic group of fans backing the Rocky teams all the way. The name Pep Club brings memories of Thursday night painting sessions, reprimands from Mr. V. on Friday morn¬ ings to clean up the mess, “Express Yourself’ signs in the cafe¬ teria, such creative slogans as “Beat ' em Rocks " , and no-no slogans from the Section. There were red and gold creped hoops at football games, bake sales, buses to out-of-town bat¬ tles, and a 120 yard bed-sheet sign from the Section welcoming you to the 1971 Homecoming Game, then falling apart; it ' s the idea that counts. Pep Club is a club with an idea, a feeling, a cause, always there, year round, supporting, applauding, and cheering. TOP LEFT; Leading the “Section " is the President, Dwight Nelson. OPPOS¬ ITE; Debbie Lowry goes “Bananas” when it comes to painting victory signs. ABOVE; Pep Club Cabinet members promoting pep for this year ' s teams are Kris Lundquist, Vicky Clarquist, Kim Grevas, Rose White, Carol Lundahl. Debbie Andrews, and Debbie Lowry. 49
