Sr. Glee Members Please Ear and Eye The Rock Island Hig h School Senior Glee Club established a Rocky “first” this year with the presentation of its first musi¬ cal, “Oklahoma”. Neysa Shafer and Larry Cline took the leading roles of Laury and Curley in the March 4 program. Costumes, scenery, and music provided by the orches¬ tra all contributed to the effect of the musical. ROCKY’S MUSIC DEPARTMENT presented OKLA¬ HOMA in March. Anticipating a sell out, Gary Hilton and Joe Marino proudly advertise the musical. Nancy Nobel proudly accepts her task of accompanying the Girls Glee.

Senior Glee Ends Season on a High Note Chords lost occasionally during the practice of the Rock Island High School Senior Glee Club emerged as pure har¬ mony at its performances this year. The seventy-one Junior and Senior members found in the club an opportunity to ex¬ press themselves musically. They im¬ proved their abilities through training in tone quality, breath support, rhythm, pitch, intervals, reading and diction. Exchange assemblies, Senior Citizen’s programs, World Day of Prayer services and the Spring and Fall concerts accented a successful year.
