DRAMATIC CLUB MAKES MIRACU A touching scene in the Dramatic Club play, “The Miracle Worker.” is portrayed by Sara Love, Pat Collins, Susan Os¬ wald, Connie McBride, Pat Daly, Nancy Bolyard, and Katheiine Sinnett. A hiphlipht of the Dramatic Club year is its annual presentation, traditionally the first play of the year. The presentation this year was entitled “The Miracle Worker. " a recent Broadway producton also made into a movie. The “Miracle Worker.” written by Wil¬ liam Gib.son. is the stor ’ of the life of Helen Keller and her strupjrle to escape a world of darkness and silence. Her patient nur.se. . nnie Sullivan, portrayed by Pat Daly, helped the pathetic youngster win a strug ' jrle which no one believed possible. Throujrh Annie’s guidance little Helen was able to face a world of reality. A doctor, played by Gary Berg, examines the infant Helen Keller as her parents, Steve Hawes and Ruth Coffin, look on.

DRAMATIC CLUB DRAWS YOUNG ACTORS The Little Theatre provides a familiar setting for these active Dramatic Club members. “Come on behind stage and see a great play in the making”, invite Dramatic Club officers, Pat Daly, secretary; Ruth Coffin, vice-president; and Steve Hawes, president. You needn’t be a John Barrymore in the making to become a member of the Dramatic Club. All you need is an interest, some speech experience, and you’re quali¬ fied. Meetings of the Dra¬ matic Club are held monthly in the Little Theatre. Tradi¬ tionally the first play of the year is a presentation of the Dramatic Club. This year’s presentation was the famous play “The Miracle Worker’’ based on the life of Helen Keller.
