Girls who see their future as a woman in white find friends with similar interests i n the Future Nurses Association. This club pro¬ motes interest in all medical careers with special emphasis on nursing. Lectures, demonstrations, and visits to medical institutions give mem¬ bers inspiration and insight into their chosen professions. Other activities of Future Nurses include selling book covers and assisting Miss Bacon in the clinic. Food baskets being packed by Future Nurses’ officers, Jean Hilton, Vice- President; Linda Harris, Treasurer; Mary Yeocum, Secretary; and Judy Sheraden, President, play an important part in the work of this organization. OPPORTUNITIES FOR SERVING OTHERS Future nurses aid unfortunates and worthwhile organizations in order to experience the tasks and duties which nurses must perform. They hear lectures from various speakers who attempt to broaden the students’ knowl¬ edge and excite their interest in a medical career. 145 FUTURE NURSES ASSOCIATION
