Future Homemakers of America is a club in which members can learn and practice the many and varied skills that are needed to become a suc¬ cessful homemaker. The girls of this club try out new recipes, fashion and sew clothes, compete in baking contests, and par¬ ticipate i n service pro¬ jects. They also hold their annual Christmas party where they decorate a tree and fill a basket of food for a needy family. Participation in the pro¬ gram of F.H.A. helps pro¬ duce the talents of a good homemaker — the career in which most of the na¬ tion’s women are employ¬ ed and the career that re¬ quires more diversified and special skills than any other.
