Tigerettes Finish W ' Season Undefeated f - The Tigerettes finished an undefeated season with a win of 52-15 over Stuart on Feb. 14. The girls played an excel- lent game showing teamwork all of the way. There was some excellent spiking and blocking. Alicia Strate set a record of 22 points, 19 of these were made at one serving turn. Alicia did some fine serving but could not have chalked up so many points without the team recovering for her and backing her up the way they did. The next high server was Janis Buckendorf with nine points. Janis was also captain for the evening. The Tigerettes are now the Conference champs. They will participate in an Invitational Tournament at Atkinson some time in March. The Tigerettes chalked up their third win Friday night in a close and exciting game, a s they overpowered the Badgerettes 28-27. The game was very low scoring showing good defeni sive play on both sides. At half time the score was 18-ll in favor of Valentine. + In the last half the Tiger- ettes came back with a deter- mination to win. The score was 28-25 with 17 seconds left to play. The Badgerettes scor- ed two points and were just ready to serve again when whistle blew. Lorraine McKenney wa captain. High point was Janis Buckendorf nine points. Bertha was next with seven points. -L.. The Tigerettes won Springview with a 39-25 victory.
