SENIORS 13. BARRY, AMBROSE Honor Points 34 Belonged to the track squad for four years, 1932- 1936, to the football squad as a junior, and was manager of the gymnastics squad the same year. 14. BEATTY, JAMES Honor Points 22 Entered the tenth grade from West High School, Minneapolis. Was on the track squad that year. Has been vice-president of Stamp Club for 1935- 1936. 15. BELL, ROBERT Honor Points 22 Entered the ninth grade from a rural school. Was a member of the operetta cast in senior year. Has been a member and president of the Marion Merry Makers 4-H Club. 16. BEMEL, LILLIAN Honor Points 16 Studied the violin for two years. 17. BENEDICT, BARBARA Honor Points 79 Received Junior Life Saving Emblem, 1930-313 belonged to Girl Scouts, 1930-33 and was in Scout award night play, 1932-335 was a member of Social Science Club, 1930-33. Attended Girls' Conference at Winona, 1933. Be- longed to the Commercial Club, 1934-36. Was homeroom representative, and on tunnel patrol, 1935-36. Confirmed from Trinity Lutheran Church, 1932. 19. BERKMAN, DAVID Honor Points 34 Belonged to Science Club and the swimming squad, 1934-35. In senior year was homeroom representa- tive, a member of the Science Club and the swim- ming squad. Has belonged to Hi-Y, acting as president, 1935-36, to the junior Izaak Walton League, to Young People's Fellowship, and to Boy Scouts, Troop 26. Attended Hi-Y Conference at Red Wing. 20. Was reporter for school paper, Ee Oh Ta Hi, 1933, typist, 1934, and exchange editor for 1935. In 1934 took part in declamation, worked in office, and played for tap dancing. 26. BORCHERT, LOUISE Honor Points 42 In seventh grade was a member of operetta cast, in eighth was winner in declamatory contest, and a member of operetta east. Belonged to D. E. A., 1932-36. Was in one-act play and Christmas play in 1932-33, and on debate squad, 1933-34. In 1934-35 was a winner in declamatory contest and class play property manager. In 1935-36 took part in declamation and assisted in the operetta. Has taken music lessons, dancing lessons, and given readings before clubs. 27. BOYD, CLARE Honor Points 21 Participated in one-act play in ninth grade, won Junior Life SavingiEmblem in 1933-34, and was a member of the Junior Class Play cast, 1934-35. 28. BRIESE, CHARLES Honor Points 24 Was a member of the tennis squad 1932-35, of the police squad 1932-33, and of the gymnastics squad, 1935-36. Has played the trumpet for four years. 29. BUSKE, FRANCES Honor Points 30 Participated in Christmas play in seventh grade. Was elected to Junior Honor Society in ninth grade. Won music emblem and belonged to Com- mercial Club in 1934-35. Was a member of Junior Walther League, and is now a member of the Senior League. 31. BYRNE, BARBARA Honor Points 28 In the eighth grade was a Girl Scout, in the ninth acted in one-act play and won Junior Life Saving Emblem. In 1933-34 was a member of Science Club, in 1934-35 was homeroom secretary-treas- urer and a member of Commercial Club. Belonged to D. E. A. and assisted with operetta, 1935-36. Has been active in girls' basketball, Campfire Girls, and Seton Guild. 32. BYRNE, IRENE Honor Points 18 Entered the tenth grade from Stewartville. Be- longs to the Seton Guild. 33.
