LIFE'S A STAGE It isn't really hard to be an actor. Everyone is - standing in front of a mirror or walking by the kids in the front hall or assuming an expression of rapt attention for a teacher's benefit while hastily scrawling a note to a friend across the room. Jesters and Thespians, how- ever, do work hard at acting. This year they spent many long hours at rehearsals working on The Miracle Worker, Teach Me How to Cry, and other one act plays including the contest play Once Upon a Play- ground. It doesn't matter whether we take on roles only after we are sure of our own identities or whether we build an identity from parts we have played. What is important is that we explore the ideas within us, ei- ther on our own or in the disci- pline of a playwright's charac- ter. Jester officers are: J. Kingsbury, vice-president, A. McAslin, secretary, M. Upah, president, J. Hanke, historian, and C. Quinn, treasurer.
