BOARD 0F EDUCATION Working along with Mr. Peterson is the Rochelle Township High School Board of Education. The Board contains seven members, two of whom are replaced ,each year by an election of the high school voting dis- trict. During the past few years the Board has been Work- ing on a plan for an addition to our school. Last year the public voted that work be started on this. The actual construction work was begun September 20, 1954. The Board will continue the project during the coming year. The Board has charge of the hiring of teachers and employees for the school. It meets regularly to approve purchases and to take care of operating the business of the school. lt plans the budget for the year and estimates the annual cost of maintaining the school. Mr. Kruger, Miss Parks, Mr. Peterson, Mrs. Ellis, Mr. Wilkinson, Miss Payne, and Mr. Maris plan the menu for the faculty R. T. H. S. FACULTY The faculty this year is comprised of twelve women and sixteen men. These teachers have varied educations from 39 different colleges throughout the country. Several of them have taught in colleges before coming to Rochelle, eighteen have their master's degrees, and ten have traveled in foreign countries. As class and club advisors, some of the faculty memn- bers have helped the students plan their various activities during the year. F.
